Good Hoots is the section of our Blog where we will be taking a closer look at some of our most requested and top selling cannabis products here at Good Roots.
We're starting with, by far, the most requested dried flower strain we carry: San Rafael Pink Kush!
Seriously, this is the strain we are asked about more than any other and one we struggle to keep in stock, as whenever it comes in, it ain't here for long.
So what makes Pink Kush so popular?
The brand San Rafael (or San Rafael '71 to use their full name) has been very popular overall with their line-up of options such as Tangerine Dream, Delahaze, and Purple Chitral always moving quickly and being well reviewed online. San Rafael is named after the city in California where the 4:20 movement first began in 1971.
They indoor grow all their cannabis out in Ontario under the MedReleaf banner, which is Health Canada licensed and who won 11 awards at the Canadian Cannabis awards in 2018 including Producer of The Year.
Now on to the Pink Kush itself. This Indica plant (technically a super dominant Indica-Hybrid plant, but let's not split trichomes here) is a relative of the famous OG Kush lineage and being a Kush, provides a typically heavy 'couch-locking' sort of high. Don't have a lot on your To-Do List if you're smoking Pink Kush, that's for sure.
This Pink Kush plant is indoor grown, hand trimmed, and hang-dried. The buds have an attractive dark green & purple hue with some pinkish hairs and are typically fairly dense and of a good size. It has a piney/citrusy sort of scent with a slight skunky finish that is definitely enjoyable. It burns nice & clean.
Terpene-wise, Pink Kush is heavy in Myrcene, Carophyllene, and Limonene. Increased levels of Myrcene are often responsible for that 'couch-lock' feeling.
This is a serious contender for best smoke out there right now as far as bang for your buck. It usually comes in between 17-21% and goes for $37.99.
San Rafael's Pink Kush is available (most of the time) at Good Roots here in Sherwood Park. Take a closer look on our website.
